The Levant Family Business Podcast – A NextGen’s Perspective on Family Business

Episode 20: Insights of the Next Generation – A Conversation with Nour Rifai

Next Generation leadership development is a crucial topic for the longevity and long-term growth of a family firm. In order to have continuity in leadership quality, it is important that NextGens feel integrated, empowered and well prepared to make positive contributions to the family firm in the long run.
What can be done to ensure the relationship between generations thrives? How can NextGen’s be supported in their decisions, both inside and outside of the family business?

In this episode we are joined by 2nd generation family member Nour Rifai to hear her personal insights and experience on growing up in a family business.

What advice would you give to other Next Gen family business members?

I would really recommend to ask as many questions and to learn as much as possible. Ask more, know more and become more knowledgeable about the business. Personally, I feel like I really belong in the business, but I feel like I don’t have as much insight about the business as I would like, and I feel that is a disadvantage to me.
